Four referees from Ealing, plus one Ealing list referee, formed part of a party of eight from the London Society of Referees who took part on the Portugal Youth Rugby Festival in Lisbon on 26th and 27th March 2010.

 Wayne Barnes’ Tackle Area The tackle area is one of the most contentious areas of the game at the moment and features in almost every match report, from the Premiership down to the community game.

Wayne Barnes, the International Referee, will be attending Ealing Rugby Club on February 10th, three days before the France v Ireland match, to share with us his interpretation of the new application of the laws at the breakdown.

Two of Ealing Rugby Club’s referees, Tim Harrison and Charlie Hodder, were last week awarded significant promotions by the London Society of RFU Referees.

Pete Paterson has been recognised as "an outstanding volunteer who has made a significant contribution to grass roots rugby" and has been invited to attend the RFU Centenery Dinner at Twickenham on 2 November 2009 to celebrate 100 years of Rugby.

Welcome to the Referee Section. Our aim is to promote the interests of referees, as you will see from the Mission Statement. We aim to do this through various means, including training new referees, continuing the development of existing referees and promoting our services within the club. You are a very important part of the club structure and without you no games can be played in the minis or youth section.
